ANTIFA has been all over the news lately. Who are these people? Where did they come from and what do they want?  What does ANTIFA even stand for?

ANTIFA is short for “Anti-Fascism Action.”  On the group’s Facebook page, they describe themselves as “Antifascist Action focuses on promotional, informative and practical ways of struggle against all authoritarian ideologies and groups promoting any kind of oppression, particularly against Neo-Nazism and right wing radicals.”

In defining themselves and what the group is about, an Antifa member recently told The Nation, “Antifa combines radical left-wing and anarchist politics, revulsion at racists, sexists, homophobes, anti-Semites, and Islamophobes, with the international anti-fascist culture of taking the streets and physically confronting the brownshirts of white supremacy, whoever they may be.”

The movement grew out of the Occupy movement that camped out in parks and in the streets of cities all over the country demanding something, like the end of capitalism. The Occupy movement was marked with rampant drug use, rape tents and more.  from Occupy, then came The Base (incidentally Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaida translates into “The Base”).  Then came the protests and riots in Ferguson and Baltimore and Black Lives Matter. With the election of Donald Trump, this movement has now grown into Antifa.

These people say they are antifascist and anti-capitalist.

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the definition of fascism is:

  • 1 a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

  • 2 :  a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control early instances of army fascism and brutality

Essentially, Antifa seeks to end what it perceives as fascism, meaning the election of Donald Trump.  Again, from The Nation, “We can deploy the “fascism” moniker to Trump’s ascendance by recognizing features like selective populism, nationalism, racism, traditionalism, the deployment of Newspeak and disregard for reasoned debate.”  Antifa freely admits that it is from the extreme left wing: “Antifa combines radical left-wing and anarchist politics.”

They not only tolerate violence as an available political tactic, violence is a cornerstone of their ideology. They want to shut down, silence any and all opposition to their point of view. “The essential feature is that anti-fascism does not tolerate fascism; it would give it no platform for debate.”

So in their own words, Antifa is of the radical left and will use any means necessary to include to silence their opposition. They will organize on the streets and plan on attacking and doing battle with anyone who stands on the other side. While claiming to be against racism, the group is blatantly racist against whites. On college campuses across the country, Antifa is demanding racist segregation in the dorms, study areas and wants “safe spaces of color.” At a protest at Berkeley University, Antifa protesters made a human chain specifically to prevent white students from attending class (see video here).

The Antifa movement specifically names their enemies as Nazis, or at least Neo-Nazis.  There are just a few minor issues with Antifa and their movement.

Antifa, Anti-Fascists, Racism, Race, Berkeley University, Protests, Fascism, Nazis, Neo-Nazis

Nazis were extremists who used violence and intimidation to silence the opposition and achieve their goals.  Antifa are extremists who use violence and intimidation to silence their opposition.  The group is specifically recruiting members who will be “ willing to engage in anti-fascist physical confrontation in Trump’s America.”

After the violent riot in Berkeley, California following the election of President Trump, the Antifa protesters were dismayed by what they perceived as a defeat at the hands of the Trump supporters.

In an online message board, Reddit, Antifa members were discussing how they need to bring guns to the next round of protests. One of the members stating, “Not getting disarmed is a big part of the problem, yes, but we need more than flags and bats. We need to take notes from the John Brown Gun Club and get firearms and training” (see screen shots below).

Nazi is short for National Socialist Party. Socialists are left-wing. Nazis were not right wing. The left – right political spectrum runs from extreme Left, meaning total government control on one end and extreme Right, total anarchy, no government on the other end. Nazis were for total government control – extreme Left.  Antifa is left-wing; “radical left” in their own words.

Nazis were racists. Antifa are racists.  Regardless of the liberal progressive narrative that minorities can’t be racists, any deliberate segregation of the races to promote or discourage any race over another is racism. Antifa is racist.

Given all of this, it would appear as though Antifa, while claiming to be fighting against Fascism, are in fact the Fascists themselves.

Antifa is NOT “Fascist,” it is an ultra-LEFTIST coalition (by their own admission) which makes it closer to COMMUNISM, so I really wish Rightists could get that fact into their heads and stop referring to them as “Fascist.”

Traditional fascists are not right wing. They are leftist. Fascists promote government control over most aspects of people’s lives. The farther you go along the political spectrum of the right, you go from representative government to anarchy. Fascists are on the extreme left with Communism and share many of the same aspects, but they certainly are not of the Right.
